These are my predictions for Saturday:
Blackburn - Manchester United.
United have just been eliminated from the FA Cup by Championship side,
Southend, on Tuesday. I feel they will want revenge tonight.
And there couldn't have been a better sparing-partner than Blackburn, a struggling
side, who hasn't won in their last outings in the Premier League. Rovers'
downfall came when Robbie Savage got injured. He is still missing today.
On the other side. Sir Alex Ferguson has a full squad to choose from, with Giggs,
Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney and Saha in the first eleven.
I bet 150 units on United to win, at 7/10. Kick off time: 1815 CET.
Valencia - Athletic Bilbao.
Bilbao are fourth from bottom in La Liga, when they travel to Valencia.
Valencia on the other side are some points off the leaders, Sevilla.
They are trying to get back up there. And they will, because they have a
great strike force, with Joaquin, Vicente, Morientes and last season's top
goalscorer David Villa all in contention for this game.
I bet 60 units on Valencia, at 1/2. It starts at 1900 CET.
And now to England again: Portsmouth vs Fulham.
Portsmouth are aiming to go back to third at the end of these match.
They are back to their own stadium, Fratton Park where they enjoyed a
great form this season, having won all but one game. Strikers Kanu and
Lualua are back for Harry Redknapp's troops. Fulham are having a torrid
time this season, when they are fighting to avoid relegation. They won last
weekend at home against Everton. But they were dominated from start to finish.
They are missing Jimmy Bullard for today's game.
I fancy Portsmouth for a win. I put up 40 units, at 8/10. It gets under way at
1600 CET.
